There are just over two weeks to go before the School Board Election. This is a good time to sum up what avid readers of this blog already know, but many first-timers don't. For a review or more in-depth coverage, simply read my prior posts.
First, there is Jon Narcisse. His personal life, particularly financial, belongs in the tabloids. He is not exactly an example for your children or the students in our schools. The court records show he is not very good at paying his bills. As near as I can tell he has never had a real job (that's defined as one in which you get up every morning to go to work and receive a regular paycheck for your efforts). And in the 1980's he tried to pass himself off as a minister (see my earlier posts including "Reverend Narcisse?").
As a board member he has a history of not attending meetings or even performing the basic job of a school board member (see "Narcisse Could Be Your Next School Board President").
This is a man who cares more about power than our students. I wouldn't let him babysit my kids, let alone be in charge of their education. From his very first meeting when he tossed in front of the superintendent the legal pad on which was written "9-9-08" to his most recent school board meeting in which he spent the entire meeting doodling "9-9-08" he has been planning to take over the school board. Now he has three recruits to do it.
And his recruits are the Clones (Flood, Pike and Crisman), the three candidates who worship at the alter of Narcisse. He endorsed them in the Narcisse/Neiderbach DSM Misinformation Times. You can tell it was an endorsement because instead of guns pointed at the heads of the three incumbents the tabloid had cute family portraits of the Clones. He endorsed them in a recent e-mail (it is attached to my post entitled "An Extraordinary E-mail Exchange Between Narcisse and a Constituent"). And the Narcisse-run Iowa Bystander printed "their" plan to end the achievement gap (that is, the Narcisse 8-point plan) in its latest edition along with pictures, etc.
And finally there are the Outsiders, and I don't mean citizens of Des Moines who may or may not send their kids to our schools, I mean people who live outside the city limits who are recruiting people from outside the city limits to work on the Clone campaigns and raising money from people outside the city limits to elect the Clones. They have an agenda that has nothing to do with education and everything to do with advancing their fringe political views. They have endorsed the Clones (see the e-mail/flyer attached to my post entitled "Look Who is Behind Narcisse and the Clones"). You can count on them to expect the Clones to advance their radical agenda whether or not it benefits the education of our children.
There is good reason to be suspicious of three candidates who suddenly pop on the scene to run for the school board without showing much previous interest in public schools. Heck, two of them send their kids to private schools. Why do the suddenly want to be on our school board? Why are they backed by and welcome the support of someone like Narcisse? Why are they backed by and welcome the support of a group of Outsiders with radical political objectives?
On the other side of the coin are the three incumbents whose record of support for our children and our public schools is well known. There is another candidate who has a 30-year record in our Des Moines Public Schools. All of them sent their children to Des Moines Public Schools, one has grandchildren in our schools. None of them are backed by Narcisse. None of them our backed by outside agitators. There is no reason to be suspicious of their motives.
There is an eighth candidate but I know so little about him (even after reading his campaign flyer) that there is no point in commenting on him beyond this.

Clone Runners
It's imperative that I and other clone runners hunt down and "retire" all escaped replicants in Des Moines (Flood, Pike & Crisman). These genetically manufactured beings called replicants must be stopped now. The lead replicant is Steve Flood, the most dangerous of all replicants. WE MUST STOP NOW the spread of replicants on the Des Moines School Board. Jonathan Narcisse, the genetic scientist who created the replicant empire must be expossed and removed from the Des Moines School Board.
